ANKOMAK to be held in 09-13 June 2010 for 18th time will be realized in 18th Internatinal Construction Machinery, Building Elements & Construction Technologies Exhibition, Istanbul Exhibition Center. ANKOMAK being the biggest in Eurasia and the fourth biggest heavy construction equipments exhibition in Europe will be the meeting point of leading companies of the sector with the professional visitors for 5 days in an open and closed area of 70.000 m2.
ANKOMAK approved by International Fairs Union (UFI) has become the most important exhibition of the sector by expanding each year with the help of Turkey Heavy Construction Equipments Distributors, Producers Association (İMDER).
 
 
VISITORS RUSHED INTO ANKOMAK 2008...
ANKOMAK 2008, 17th Construction Equipments, Construction elements and Construction Technologies Exhibition has been realized in Istanbul Exhibition Center, Cnrexpo in 25 - 29 April 2008.
ANKOMAK 2008 organized by E Uluslararası Fuar Tanıtım Hizmetleri A.Ş., has brought together the giant companies of construction technologies and construction equipments sector and around 25.000 professional visitors.  
27 companies from 7 foreign countries have attended ANKOMAK 2008 that has been realized in a total open and closed area of 70,000 m2.  
223 firms have exhibited around 500 different products in the exhibition. WHY TURKEY?
 
Rapid increase of population and rapid immigration to urban areas has contributed to the increase of investments on infrastructure and house building in Turkey. These investments caused the development of construction sector in which more than 1 million people are working and gaining of more than 16 billion pounds or a return of 14% of the total GNP. If we look at the period from 2005 to 2010, Turkey will benefit from the following improvements:
· National reforms explained recently and IMF financial support.
· Political and economic relations developed with EU.
· Enormous investments on natural gas, energy and transport sectors.
All of the above mentioned information means that the growth in construction sector in the future period will be approximately 8-10% per annum and this will make Turkey one of the most important markets of Europe in terms of construction area. In the meaning of financial greatness, Turkey construction sector has reached an augmentation of 19 billion pounds in 2005. Turkish contractors will also constitute an important equipment demand due to the projects they have realized in Russia, Middle Asia and Middle East. Turkish contractors have signed agreements to participate in the reconstruction projects in Afghanistan.
  
Planned basic Building Projects:
· Bosporus Sub-Sea Tunnel Project & Gebze-Halkalı Subway -13.3 km, and 63 km railway, 2.5 million dollars.
· Third Bosporus bridge for Istanbul, 1 billion dollars;
· Izmit Gulf Passage Project (2.8 km), BOT, between 500 million dollar and 1.2 billion dollars.
· Dardanelles bridge(longer than 1 km), 575 million dollars.
· Istanbul-Ankara fast railway (430 km)
· GAP international airport, 55 million dollars; planned 22 airport projects;
· Energy Projects: 4-5 billion dollars/, Dam construction. The value of ongoing BOT projects is above 15 billion dollars.
· Water projects: Both state and municipalities have basic projects above 750 million dollars.
· As per 2010, 2,850 km highway completion, 4 billion dollars.
